KFC, or Kentucky Fried Chicken, unveiled its latest offering to its customers in India. The fast-food chain has recently added Peri Peri Chicken to its menu.
KFC India surely surprised its customers when it released its new bucket of spicy chicken served with the flavorful Peri Peri sauce. This food item is a marinated chicken that is usually spicy. At KFC, this is another chicken option for those who love spicy food.
The fried chicken fast-food chain is also offering the Hot & Crispy Chicken and Chicken Strips as another version of the new Peri Peri Chicken. The brand’s newest food item was launched through an ad starring a local superstar personality, Allu Arjun.
In the commercial, he was shown dancing with KFC’s famous Colonel Sanders mascot and yelling that KFC’s Chicken Peri Peri is “Sooper Very Very!” In any case, Indian Retailer reported that this new menu is only available for a limited time.
The good thing is that it will be sold in KFC stores across the country. People in India will also be able to get the new offering by ordering a meal through the restaurant’s app and website.
“Inspired by the African Bird’s Eye chile, the Peri Peri sprinkles adds a dash of spice to your KFC favorites,” KFC India said in a statement as it debuts the new fried chicken dish. “The distinct bright red coloring and strong aroma of Peri Peri, drizzled to perfection over crispy, crunchy KFC Chicken, draws you in for a spicy delight. Once you have savored a Bucket of Peri Peri Chicken, it leaves you with an enjoyable experience and a mild fiery after-taste that lingers on.”
Meanwhile, Indian superstar Allu Arjun has been chosen to introduce the new KFC Peri Peri Chicken, and the ad campaign has been well-received by the public. As per Media News, the commercial has been conceptualized by Ogilvy, a New York City-based British advertising, marketing, and public relations agency.
“Peri Peri, as a flavor is already a hit but when we tasted KFC’s Peri Peri, we realized it was something extra special,” Ogilvy’s chief creative officer, Ritu Sharda, said in a statement while commenting about Arjun’s new KFC ad. “We were confident people were going to find this bigger than a hit, it was going to be a super hit. And who better to get a nod of approval on anything super hit, than Allu Arjun.”
