The manga series is currently on a break, but mangaka Aka Akasaka left fans some things to think about while waiting for “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” chapter 212. As the senior year arc begins, the series introduced several new characters that could make life in Shuchi’in more exciting or tip the balance for the old characters.

First, it is worth noting that Kaguya finally got her wish granted of being assigned to the same class as Miyuki. Their class, 3-A, is also notable because the class is also composed of other fan-favorites such as Chika and Hayasaka. But what makes the future stories even more exciting is the addition of new faces.
Shindou Watanabe, the ace player of the school’s soccer team is also in 3-A. Although Kaguya does not know who he is, the spotlight he was given in the previous chapter makes it possible for fans to see more of him in“Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” chapter 212 and beyond.
The biggest surprise was the entrance of Mikado Shijo, which shocked Miyuki the most. While his name was mentioned before, not much is known about him other than Miyuki considered him a rival. But how he is going to affect Miyuki’s senior year, and possibly his relationship with Kaguya, remains to be seen.
A new teacher was also introduced named Hikaru Oobayashi, who does not seem too excited about handling the 3-A class. Hopefully, “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” chapter 212 would give fans more idea of whether or not he will make things hard or easy for Kaguya and Miyuki.
The most mysterious characters introduced, however, are the ones attending the other classes. Miko and Yu are once again in the same class (2-A), and they were joined by a new classmate named Koromo Shiranui. When she arrived late, she said her recording session took longer than she expected. That suggests she could be some kind of celebrity. Lastly, a freshman named Hifumi Abe joined Shuchi’in. He is the most mysterious as Akasaka decided not to show his face yet. He was accompanied by a black cat in chapter 211, which makes fans wonder if there is a symbolism to it.

As mentioned, there will not be a new installment this week. “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” chapter 212 will be released on Thursday, Dec. 24.
