Kalshi Senate Contracts Use Separate Rules for Settlement Timing

Seat-total contracts use a Feb. 1, 2027, snapshot of the Senate, with the reference date moving later if the data is unavailable.

The hypothetical links Senate-control and seat-total markets, but they do not share a settlement schedule.

A control market can resolve early if its listed media-call criteria are met. For seat totals, the reference point is the Senate’s composition on Feb. 1, 2027. If that data is not available then, the next available date applies.

The different triggers can leave the contracts on separate resolution schedules. The four-contract combination was illustrative, and no trades were placed.
