Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are not engaged despite what the rumor mill is claiming. The speculation was sparked when the “Dawson's Creek” alum was seen wearing a diamond ring while out for a coffee, Celebrity Insider reported.
After rumors spread on the web, reps of Katie Holmes said that the ring is actually a movie prop for “The Secret,” shooting down assumptions that the bling came from Jamie Foxx. Although the pair has been seeing each other for five years, they have declared time and again that they aren’t a couple.
Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx also follow an unorthodox form of dating that appears to be working splendidly for the pair. Among their practices is trying to live separate lives while finding the time to spend moments with each other.
Right now, both celebrities are busy with their own respective projects. As mentioned earlier, Katie Holmes is currently filming “The Secret,” a movie based on the book of the same title. The premise of the film centers on the belief that people can shape the universe with their minds. The “Batman Begins” actress has also landed a role in “The Boy 2.” Meanwhile, Jamie Foxx is shooting his yet-to-be-named movie where he’ll be starring with Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx’s current projects are a blessing for their relationship as they’re both filming in New Orleans. When the “Django” star was shooting “Just Mercy” a few months ago, Katie Holmes needed to go to Georgia to visit the actor.
Now, both celebrities will not have to go out of their way to spend time with each other. Fans of the couple are hoping they’ll step out in public more often as they’re rarely seen together. And this is another relationship practice that is religiously followed by Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx.
The paparazzi themselves have a hard time snapping photos of the pair given that they don’t usually spend time in public places. Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx appear to highly value their privacy, although they’ve slowly broken away from this practice in recent months.
Of course, this isn’t a sign that they’re planning to tie the knot. Before that can happen, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx would likely admit to the media first that they’re indeed a couple.
