Engaged couple Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are allegedly at odds due to issues of jealousy. A recent rumor claimed that the “Never Really Over” singer does not appreciate the actor being cozy with his assistant described in same reports as an attractive woman.
Perry and Bloom are some of the Hollywood couples who took a break from dating but came back together stronger in terms of their relationship. But all is well now as they confirmed their engagement last Valentine’s Day.
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom fighting over his assistant?
The recent rumor was published in Woman’s Day after a source claimed that Bloom had been hanging out too often with the unidentified assistant. The same insider said the two are so cozy that people around them start to wonder why the actor is this close to a “stunning” woman when the world knows he is already engaged. This reportedly does not sit well with Perry, too.
Perry, according to the same tipster, is reportedly not usually around to see Bloom bonding with his assistant. Interestingly, Woman’s Day source does not seem certain whether or not the assistant in question is newly hired. “If she’s a new employee, the timing couldn’t be worse, when they’re supposed to be finalizing their wedding plans,” the insider reportedly said.
Jealousy rumors debunked by Katy Perry’s rep
Not surprisingly, the rumor was belied by one of Perry’s representatives. The spokesperson told Gossip Cop that Woman’s Day’s story was not accurate and called it “ridiculous.”
Just over the weekend, Bloom himself confirmed that her relationship with Perry is doing great. In an appearance on “Sunday Today with Willie Geist” over the weekend, the actor suggested that he hopes his upcoming marriage to Perry would last a lifetime saying that he does not want to experience having divorce again. The “Pirates of the Carribean” star was married to supermodel Miranda Kerr from 2010 to 2013.
Perry and Bloom confirmed they broke up in the spring of 2017, but photos of them together at an Ed Sheeran concert and international vacations surfaced later that year. But they did not confirm they were back together until April 2018. Fast forward to Feb. 14 this year; the two announced their engagement by sharing a photo on Instagram showing off her flower-shaped ring.
