Kahwi Leonard is undecided at the moment with regards to his future with the Toronto Raptors. After leading his team to become the champion at the Eastern Conference, the 27-year-old basketball player is now one of the most sought-after picks in this year’s free agency group.
He also received the MVP trophy after helping the Raptors gain its very first championship win in the franchise’s history. But now it is time for him to make a decision - will he stay or choose to play with another team?
According to Canada’s CBC News, Kawhi and his team are still in the mood to party which they have been doing since the momentous day they won against the Golden State Warriors. In the midst of the celebrations, the player has been constantly asked about his free agency status, and he said that he is not thinking about it at this time and he is just focused on enjoying the moment.
"I'm going to take the right time," Kawhi said. "You don't need too many days to figure it out. We'll see what happens and once that time comes then we'll all lay the pros and cons out."
"I’m not even thinking about signing or what team I’ma go to ..."

It was said that Kawhi Leonard has not ruled out the possibility that he will still play with the Raptors. However, CBS Sports mentioned that ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski stated on Tuesday that the player was considering Los Angeles and clarified that he wants the Clippers and not the Lakers.
The American sports columnist went on to explain that the Lakers do not have the funds to sign him anyway. The Clippers will have to match what the Toronto Raptors will offer to Kawhi if they really want him on the team.
Playing with the Raptors again will boost the team’s chance for a repeat win, but it was predicted that Kawhi Leonard would choose to become a free agent instead of signing an exclusive contract for a long-term deal. In any case, he can also choose to continue playing for his current team by agreeing to a five-year deal that is worth around $190 million.
