“Kingdom Hearts III” is still a few months from launching but Square Enix keeps giving fans more reasons to scream at their calendars to hurry up. In a new trailer for the game, it was shown how Sora, Donald, and Goofy will be teaming up with Rapunzel from “Tangled.” She will actually fight with the trio and it seems her really long hair will come in quite handy.
In the “Kingdom Hearts III” trailer posted over at YouTube, it would appear that the game’s heroes stumble across Rapunzel and Flynn just as the two are leaving the tower. In the process, heartless start popping up to accost the newly liberated princess and this is where Sora and Co. come in.
The trailer showcases the amazing combat system that fans can expect from this “Kingdom Hearts III” segment and it would seem that Rapunzel will be using her long, golden locks quite a bit. Outside of combat, it would also appear that her hair can be used to swing along branches and over ravines. For fans of the movie, this is their chance to accompany the bubbly character as she makes her way to reunite with her family.
As Comic Book reports, the video actually first aired during the Lucca Comics & Games event in Italy. The clip has since become available for global audiences, which has since sparked a firestorm of complaints from fans. Specifically, they are outraged that the game keeps teasing them with “Kingdom Hearts III” content that they want to play now.
It’s unfortunate that “Kingdom Hearts III” is set to come out on Jan. 25, 2019. This is still a few months’ worth of waiting. This should not be that big of a deal, though, considering that this installment has been in the works for more than a decade.
