RAMSEY , N.J., April 21, 2016 -- Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta) announced today that it has completed the strategic acquisition of Action Business Systems (ABS), a Baltimore-based technology dealer.
ABS is an award-winning elite dealer recipient in 2015, recognized by ENX Magazine.
As part of the agreement, Konica Minolta will acquire ABS' full operations — sales, service, and administration. With the addition of ABS, Konica Minolta will further strengthen and expand their market commitment to the Baltimore region. The current location of Action Business Systems in White Marsh, MD will join Konica Minolta's two offices in the Baltimore area to provide unparalleled presence and logistical superiority to support the needs of Konica Minolta's customers.
"We welcome the addition of ABS to the Konica Minolta family," said President and CEO, Rick Taylor. "This acquisition allows us to better serve our customers in the Baltimore region. I look forward to us working together to accelerate our growth, and leverage synergies to drive high levels of innovation."
ABS brings to the organization almost 40 years of expertise of serving customers in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia. This is Konica Minolta Business Solutions' 22st acquisition in the last four years. With 8,000 employees, it is part of Konica Minolta Inc., a world leading global technology company.
