Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were one of the popular couples after appearing as Bella and Edward in the “Twilight” movie series. Their relationship turned from reel to real and here’s the timeline when they confirmed their romance up to the moment when they broke up.
The first movie that Stewart and Pattinson starred in was released in 2008 and this was the first in the five-part movie sequels based on Stephenie Meyer’s novels. As co-actors, they hang out together by going out for meals or trips but when they were spotted attending the Kings of Leon concert in 2009, fans knew that something else is up and it is not just plain friendship anymore.
The confirmation of dating
Although Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson never affirm or deny if they are dating, even so, everyone is convinced that they are a couple. It was not until 2011, “Twilight: Breaking Dawn” was released did they finally opened up about their relationship.
It was the actress who confirmed that she and Robert were dating when she told GQ Magazine via Page Six, that the wedding scene in their movie really made her emotional. She feels it was real, so she was overwhelmed.
“I was nervous for the wedding scene,” she shared. “When I looked at the set, with the pews and the lights, and I could see everyone there in their outfits, I cried. It felt incredibly ceremonial. It felt like a real wedding.”
Robert Pattinson also made comments that further affirmed that they are dating. He said that he and Kristen are technically married because a real priest was hired to officiate their “wedding” in the movie. “So technically we are already married because he did all the things you would do in a normal ceremony,” he said. “So we don’t have a civil union in law, but I guess in the church we are actually married.”
The couple lived together
The actors lived together after reportedly buying a house. They are still filming for the last sequels of “Twilight” but their relationship ended just after they completed the full movie saga.
Cheating and breakup
Kristen Stewart was caught cheating with her “Snowhite and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders who was still married then. She and Robert broke up after this but they reconciled which didn’t last. They officially parted ways in 2013.
Kristen’s regrets
Kristen Stewart publicly apologized to Robert Pattinson and she said that she truly loved her co-star. Later, she admitted that she regrets breaking up with him and she actually still misses him sometimes, as per Hollywood Life.
