McDonald's has begun offering the Bacon' N Crispy Onion Quarter Pounder, only in Canada.
The sandwich consists of a quarter-pound beef patty, hickory smoked bacon, crispy onions, a grilled onion sauce, cheese, ketchup, mustard, and pickles on a sesame seed bun.
It is also available as a double variant.
Observers say that it now appears that McDonald's is now getting into introducing new menu items only in Canada and not sharing them with the United States.
Burger King has been introducing items exclusively in Canada for months now.
McDonald's Canada customers also avail of a Medium Hot or Iced Coffee for just $1, and a medium Latte or Cappuccino for only $2 available for purchases through the app. The offer is not valid for flavored beverages.
McDonald's Canada recently started a new rewards program for orders placed through the McDonald's app.
Last month, McDonald's Canada launched the new MyMcDonald's Rewards program, where new members can get 5,000 bonus points for their first purchase through the app for purchases of $1 or more before tax.
Customers get 100 points for every $1 they spend and still get points for orders at a restaurant by having their phone scanned.
"Our guests are some of the most loyal in the world, and we're pleased to offer them more reasons to visit us, again and again. said McDonald's Canada CEO Jacques Mignault.
