PUMA will release LaMelo Ball’s LaFrance 'Slime' sneaker on October 18th, just in time for Halloween. Meanwhile, the adidas Anthony Edwards 1 'Light Purple' debuts October 5th, continuing its reign in the 2023-24 NBA season.
LaMelo Ball’s PUMA LaFrance ‘Slime’ Debuts October 18th, Bringing Spooky Vibes to Sneaker Culture
The release of the PUMA MB.04 may highlight LaMelo Ball's sneaker line this October, but it's still in his lifestyle-oriented designs. In time for Halloween, PUMA is set to debut the LaFrance in a new “Slime”colorway on October 18th.
Named after LaMelo’s middle name, the LaFrance embraces a spooky theme with a light green upper and dark midsole, featuring patent leather overlays for added flair. While comparisons to the Nike Kobe 6 “Grinch” may be tempting, the LaFrance is carving out its own space in the sneaker scene with a nod to holiday traditions.
Sneaker enthusiasts familiar with the Osiris D3 or Lanvin’s Curb Sneaker will recognize similar design elements in the PUMA LaFrance. The shoe incorporates oval-shaped cutouts, thick laces, and cushioned interior padding. However, the LaFrance has a TPU heel pull tab, embossed midsole branding, and distinct “PUMA LaFrance” text on the outsole. The “Slime” edition has a mesh tongue and oval panels, marking a shift from the canvas materials used in previous iterations.
The PUMA LaFrance “Slime” will launch on October 18th for $110. For easy access, official images and purchase links are in the “Where To Buy” section.
Anthony Edwards 1 ‘Light Purple’ Launches October 5th, Continuing Its Dominance in the 2023-24 NBA Season
The adidas Anthony Edwards 1 has been a defining sneaker of the 2023-24 NBA season. With the Timberwolves gearing up for another intense season, rumors of the Anthony Edwards 2 have sparked excitement online. While fans await the sequel, the Anthony Edwards 1 continues its reign with a new “Light Purple” colorway set to release on October 5th.
The latest iteration follows the familiar design of split color blocking, with black mesh atop a glossy “Light Purple” cage. This offers a sleek departure from the matte finish in most previous colorways. The low-top version, Iron Sharpens Iron, features similar detailing but with more elaborate elements.
The Anthony Edwards 1 “Light Purple” will be available in both adult ($120) and grade school sizes ($100) starting October 5th. Purchase links are provided in the “Where To Buy” section for a smooth checkout.
In other adidas basketball news, Donovan Mitchell’s Haribo DON Issue #6 will debut soon.
