Former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt shared a hypothetical Supreme Court warning from Elon Musk, described by The Independent as the world's richest man, before Nov. 3; her own post urged followers to vote.

On Instagram Stories, the post carried Leavitt's caption, “This is what’s at stake. Vote.” She did not name a party. On Friday, Musk used X to describe a scenario where Democrats held the presidency and both chambers of Congress in 2028.

Musk claimed Democrats would enlarge the Supreme Court to secure a majority, make Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico states, and legalize people living in the United States illegally. He argued those actions would cement one-party control and warned, “It would be game over for America.” Musk urged voters to choose Republican senators, saying 51 Republican senators in 2029 could prevent the scenario.

The Independent reported that the Supreme Court has a 6-3 conservative majority. Rhode Island Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse has advocated term limits, while former Vice President Kamala Harris and Rep. Jamie Raskin have supported expanding the court to 13 seats from nine. Scholars cited by the outlet said reform was unlikely and would face major obstacles, even if Democrats regained control of Congress.

In September, a Republican effort to keep the court at nine seats failed in the House, The Independent reported. EconoTimes previously reported that Musk directed about $276 million to Republican-aligned groups in the third quarter of 2026.
