Lenovo unveils an all-new premium tablet, the Tab P12 Pro, slated to arrive in stores next month. Joining it is the anticipated 5G version of the Tab P11.
Lenovo P12 Pro specs, price
The Lenovo Tab P12 Pro’s design looks familiar and it has been compared with iPad Pros. However, its technical specifications are different from Apple’s premium tablets. For one, Lenovo’s newest tablet features an AMOLED display that measures 12.6 inches and supports up to a 120Hz refresh rate.
It runs on Android 11 and is powered by the 7nm Snapdragon 870 SoC. Lenovo confirmed in a news release that the Lenovo Tab P12 Pro has an “optional 5G model” that offers a sub-6GHz band. It can also tap into Wi-Fi 6 connections.
The tablet comes with a dedicated SD card slot, but it will be sold in 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB + 256GB configurations. The Lenovo Tab P12 Pro will ship with a 10200mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging.
There is a wider array of accessories supported by the Lenovo Tab P12 Pro than most Android tablets. Future owners will be able to use it with the Lenovo Precision Pen 3 stylus and keyboard with its own trackpad.
While premium tablets are often marketed as a great tool for productivity uses, the Lenovo Tab P12 Pro is advertised as a device for entertainment purposes. On top of Android 11, the tablet also uses the Google Entertainment Space software. Lenovo also boasts that it features four SLS surround sound JBL speakers and supports Dolby Atmos.
As for its availability, all variants of Lenovo Tab P12 Pro are confirmed to launch at an unspecified date in October. Its Wi-Fi-only model will be available starting at $609.99, while the 5G-enabled option will not ship to North America and will cost €899 (~$1,062) before taxes.
Lenovo Tab P11 5G specs, price
The company also announced the 5G model of Lenovo Tab P11 this week. Its technical specs are mostly similar to its Wi-Fi-only sibling that launched earlier this year. That includes an 11-inch LCD screen, 13MP rear-facing camera, 8MP selfie camera, and 7700mAh battery with 20W fast charging.
However, the Lenovo Tab P11 5G has a more superior processor as it uses Snapdragon 750G and it will ship with Android 11 already installed. Unlike the earlier model released, the 5G version is also built with JBL speakers and Dolby Atmos support. It is only slated to launch in Europe starting at €499 (~$590) sometime in October as well.
