The Ethics Commission at ISM University of Management and Economics found significant violations involving academic writing, citation and source attribution in Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius’ doctoral thesis. The commission included plagiarism among its findings. BNS reported that the decision was dated Oct. 26.

The commission gave Sinkevičius six months to make the required corrections. The period does not start with the decision; it begins after the university’s dean’s office approves the correction requirements.

The commission did not recommend immediate revocation of Sinkevičius’ degree. Approval of the correction requirements by the dean’s office is the next step before the six-month period begins.
