BOSTON, Nov. 21, 2016 -- LogMeIn, Inc. (NASDAQ:LOGM) today announced the successful acquisition of a Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 attestation report. LogMeIn received this attestation report based on an extensive audit by RSM US LLP, a leading provider of SOC 2 audit services, which reviewed how LogMeIn’s security and data practices meet certain criteria.
The SOC 2 audit is a review of the controls and processes that affect the security of LogMeIn products and infrastructure, the availability of the systems used to process data, and the confidentiality of the information processed by the systems. LogMeIn has committed to an annual review of these practices to ensure continued SOC 2 compliance.
“Successfully completing the SOC 2 attestation demonstrates LogMeIn’s ongoing commitment of maintaining a high level of security across all of our products,” says Sandor Palfy, Chief Technology Officer at LogMeIn. “We are proud to have achieved this ‘gold standard’ for SaaS companies that spans a multitude of industries and regions and shows our continued pledge to keeping our customers and their data safe and secure.”
For over a decade, customers have trusted LogMeIn to provide services such as the ability to access their computer remotely with LogMeIn Pro, provide remote support with Rescue and BoldChat, meet online anywhere and at any time with join.me, simplify the IOT with the Xively Connected Product Management platform, and store passwords and other confidential information with LastPass. Security has been a constant focus of LogMeIn, and the SOC 2 Certification provides a third party validation of that commitment and a chance to annually revisit practices and policies.
