“Loki” Season 2 is just about to end, and many fans are already wondering if Tom Hiddleston will return for another run. Marvel Studios has not confirmed if there will be “Loki” Season 3, leaving the fate of the popular Disney+ series uncertain.
All news about the speculated third installment is purely rumors and predictions that might come into reality someday. Here is everything we know about the yet-to-be-confirmed “Loki” Season 3.
‘Loki’ Season 3 Release Date
Marvel Studios has yet to confirm whether Loki's plot will be continued in “Loki” Season 3. The development of the series' Season 2 was announced in the Season 1 conclusion, therefore it's possible that the same will happen at the end of Season 2.
The series is scheduled to end on November 9, 2023, thus an announcement could be made then. If “Loki” Season 3 is developed, it will most likely not premiere until the MCU's Phase 6; however, there has been talk that Hiddleston may return to the big screen for “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” and “Secret” Wars in 2026, so the destiny of “Loki” Season 3 remains to be seen.
Season 1 debuted on June 9, 2021, as part of the MCU's Phase 4, followed by Season 2 on October 5, 2023, as part of Phase 5. This two-year delay means that “Loki” Season 3 could be released as part of Phase 6 in 2025 or 2026, per Screen Rant.
‘Loki’ Season 3 Cast
The entire cast of Season 1 will return for Season 2, implying that they will all most likely return for “Loki” Season 3, per Lifestyle Asia. Tom Hiddleston stars as the eponymous God of Mischief, with Sophia Di Martino playing his female variant, Sylvie, and it's possible that past variants performed by Richard E. Grant, DeObia Oparei, and Jack Veal will return.
Jonathan Majors, who played Kang the Conqueror in Kang the Conqueror, also has a key part in Loki, representing many forms of the Multiverse Saga's overarching villain, albeit his future in the franchise is unknown following his arrest and assault claims in March. Owen Wilson as TVA agent Mobius M. Mobius, Wunmi Mosaku as high-ranking TVA Hunter B-15, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Judge Ravonna Renslayer are all expected to return in “Loki” Season 3.
‘Loki’ Season 3 Spoilers and Theories
Season 1 had numerous twists and turns, including the introduction of the Multiverse Saga's main villain in the season finale, so it's uncertain what direction Season 2 could go and how it would lay the stage for “Loki” Season 3.
Season 1 introduced He Who Remains, and Season 2 introduced Victor Timely to the MCU, therefore it's plausible that more Kang varieties will come in “Loki” Season 3 before “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” in Phase 6. This would confirm Loki as the most important series in the Multiverse Saga, as it released the multiverse in Phase 4 and might put the Multiverse Saga to an end in Phase 6.
