MANCHESTER, Conn., Feb. 15, 2016 -- Lydall, Inc. (NYSE:LDL) today announced that Paul A. Marold, 54, has been appointed President, Lydall Performance Materials.
Mr. Marold will be joining Lydall from his position as the Chief Operating Officer of SONTARA®, a business division of Jacob Holm Group. SONTARA® is a global nonwovens business that produces products used in a wide variety of industrial and medical applications. Prior to joining SONTARA®, Mr. Marold held key customer-facing leadership positions at prominent filtration and nonwovens companies, such as CLARCOR, American Air Filter and Ahlstrom Oy, centered around strategic growth and innovation.
Commenting on Mr. Marold’s appointment, Dale G. Barnhart, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, said, “We are delighted to have Paul join Lydall’s executive leadership team. Mr. Marold holds a B.S. in Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and completed his post-graduate studies at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Association of the Nonwovens Fabrics Industry (INDA) and a former member of the Board of Directors of the National Air Filtration Association (NAFA).
