Mazda North American Operations reported October sales rose 25% from a year earlier, while the CX-50 declined and cumulative volume through October remained below 2025. The monthly increase has not erased the operation’s year-to-date shortfall.

MNAO reported 31,446 sales for October, compared with 25,163 in October 2025. October 2026 had 28 selling days, against 27 a year earlier. With the extra day factored out, Mazda’s daily sales pace was 20.5% higher. The company described the result as its second-best October on record. The two percentages use different comparisons: one counts all vehicles sold during the month, while the other adjusts for the number of selling days.

The model mix varied. The CX-5 led with 9,689 vehicles, up 7.9%. The CX-50 totaled 8,249, down 1.2%. CX-90 sales reached 4,620, a 114.6% rise, and CX-70 sales totaled 1,358, up 295.9%.

The CX-50 total adds a model figure to EconoTimes’ earlier coverage of Mazda’s October sales. Mazda said the CX-90 MHEV had its strongest October on record, while the CX-50 ICE posted its second-best October. Certified pre-owned sales reached 6,544, up 5.9%, for a record October result, the company said.

From January through October, MNAO recorded 341,714 vehicle sales, compared with 344,827 in the same period of 2025. That was a 0.9% decrease; the daily selling rate for the 10-month period fell 0.5%. The company separately listed October sales of 6,446 in Canada, down 5.4%, and 10,436 in Mexico, up 12%.
