MEDIA ADVISORY, March 16, 2016 -- Newport News Shipbuilding will host the grand opening of the HII Family Health Center. The event will include the unveiling of the health center’s sign, self-led tours of the facility and a reception with health-focused activities and games for shipbuilders and their families. Bill Bell, Newport News’ vice president of human resources and administration, and Sue Buettner, president of QuadMed, will speak.
The health center is part of HII’s larger benefits strategy designed to improve cost and access of quality health care and to encourage employees and their dependents to be more accountable in their health and wellness. The health center is operated by QuadMed, a third-party vendor. Services are available to eligible employees and their dependents who are covered by a qualified Anthem health plan.
