MFour Data Research named Sean Miller vice president of first-party data engineering as the company plans to bring its engineering stack in-house, giving him responsibility for technology behind its consumer-data operation.
MFour announced the appointment Oct. 16. Miller will report to Chief Technology Officer Aaron Wepler and oversee work spanning data collection and the company’s AI model. MFour said AI allows it to carry out this engineering work in days rather than months, but did not announce a timetable for the plan.
The company says its opted-in panel has more than 13 million members, who are paid for information shared through its Fair Trade Data model. MFour Founder and CEO Chris St. Hilaire said, “People should know exactly what they’re sharing and get paid for it.” The announcement did not state how much panel members receive.
MFour says its panel captures receipts and purchases, digital activity across apps, websites and desktops, location and store visits, and conversations with large language models. The company says it connects those records with panel members’ survey answers. It argues the combination can help brands and researchers interpret consumer choices as they use AI models and synthetic audiences.
Before joining MFour, Miller was Luth Research’s senior executive vice president of operations, the company said; he has spent more than 16 years developing behavioral-data products and panels.
Founded in 2011, MFour said it changed its name from MFour Mobile Research in September 2025 as it broadened its focus to combine survey findings with consumer behavior data. Miller said, “My job is to give clients data they can trust.”
