DAYTON, OHIO, Feb. 29, 2016 -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services and product solutions, today announced that MacB President and CEO Sidney E. Fuchs has been invited by the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce to participate as a Top CEO panelist at the 2016 Government Contracting (GovCon) Symposium on Wednesday, March 9 at the Westin Arlington Gateway hotel in Arlington. The event is scheduled from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and will focus on the rapidly evolving government contracting landscape, and the implications for companies interested in growth in today’s market.
Mr. Fuchs was a finalist for the Greater Washington GovCon CEO of the Year award in 2013, and MacB was selected as a finalist for GovCon Company of the Year during that same timeframe. Under his leadership, MacB has experienced continued growth and expansion by penetrating new markets and adding mission critical capabilities and solutions, while sharpening the company’s focus on strategic growth.
The Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce (formerly Fairfax Chamber) represents local employers with more than 500,000 regional employees, and is the area’s leading voice for business advocacy, thought leadership, business development opportunities and key community partnerships. The Chamber’s Gov Con Council is the largest and most active, and is widely recognized as the best forum for engagement with Northern Virginia’s government contracting community. The Gov Con Symposium is an annual event with a large attendance of more than 200 professionals from area businesses, including MacB’s National Capital Headquarters office, throughout the Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C region.
John J. Hamre, President and CEO of the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS), will kick-off the 2016 Symposium with the keynote address. Mr. Fuchs, along with three other industry CEOs and a moderator, will participate on a panel entitled, View of the Landscape from Top CEOs. Topics of discussion will include how to navigate in the current uncertain economic climate, tips for finding industry success and planning for the future. They will also share stories and lessons-learned about creating and implementing business best practices.
“It’s an honor to have been selected by the Northern Virginia Chamber to join this prestigious panel of industry leaders during the 2016 GovCon Symposium, and I personally want to thank President and CEO Jim Corcoran for the opportunity to participate,” said Fuchs.
