‘Madam Secretary’ season 3’s episode 19, titled “Global Relief,” will follow Elizabeth as she is forced to make a shocking decision when her Somalian food relief efforts are threatened by a kidnapping. Meanwhile, Henry will deal with being suddenly dropped from the VFF doomsday cult case that he has been working hard on.
The lengthy synopsis for “Global Relief” posted on TV Guide reads, “When warring rebel groups threaten Elizabeth's (Tea Leoni) Somalian food relief efforts and kidnap an American aide there, she reluctantly considers asking a notorious Russian arms dealer for help.
Also, Henry (Tim Daly) is blindsided when he is taken off the VFF doomsday cult case; and Alison (Katherine Herzer) and Stevie (Wallis Currie-Wood) await their college acceptances.”
The upcoming episode is set to follow Elizabeth as she turns to a notorious Russian arms dealer for help when her Somalian food aid efforts are being threatened by rebel groups. The rebel groups have kidnapped an American aide in attempts to foil her mission.
The promo for episode 19 shows Elizabeth secretly meeting the arms dealer on a tarmac. When Russell (Željko Ivanek) discovers her plan, he immediately sets up a meeting between Elizabeth and President Dalton (Keith Carradine). Russell obviously wants Elizabeth to cancel the risky deal with the Russian.
Meanwhile, Henry will be taken aback when he finds out that he has been taken off the VFF doomsday cult case that he devoted his time and efforts on. According to Christian Post, Henry will be kicked to the side when the FBI decides to handle the case exclusively.
It seems that Henry will be one to put up a fight since he was the one who successfully managed to track down the bomb in the first place as well as the first one to discover of a second planned attack. It was also hinted by the promo that although Henry didn’t intend for Elizabeth to find out about his secret investigation, she manages to discover it anyway.
‘Madam Secretary’ season 3’s episode 19, titled “Global Relief,” is scheduled to air on CBS on April 23, 2017. It was directed by Jet Wilkinson and written by Moira Kirland.
It will be followed by episode 20, titled "Extraordinary Hazard," directed by Charlotte Brandstrom and written by Mark Steilen. It is scheduled to be released on April 30.
