Starbucks fans can now enjoy the signature pumpkin cold foam at home with a simple recipe. You can recreate this fall favorite without visiting a store by making a sweet pumpkin spice syrup and combining it with a cold brew.
Enjoy Starbucks' Pumpkin Delights at Home with a Simple Recipe for Pumpkin Cold Foam
When pumpkin season arrives, Starbucks introduces an array of pumpkin-themed delights. From pumpkin spice lattes and affogatos to pumpkin-infused baked goods and even a Reserve-level pumpkin spice whiskey barrel-aged cold brew, the brand offers a whole autumn experience. However, enjoying the essence of this seasonal goodness, including the popular pumpkin cold foam, doesn't require visiting a Starbucks store or roastery.
According to Tasting Table, Starbucks provides a simple recipe for making pumpkin cold foam at home, offering an easy way to bring fall flavors into any iced coffee. The process begins with creating a sweet pumpkin spice syrup by simmering a combination of water, granulated and brown sugars, pumpkin purée, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice for about four minutes. After straining the syrup, it can be used to prepare the cold foam.
Once the syrup has cooled, it is mixed with Starbucks' pumpkin spice cold brew concentrate, available at major retailers. This concentrate, flavored with pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg, forms the drink's base. Four ounces of concentrate and water are poured over ice, followed by frothed 2% milk and two tablespoons of sweet pumpkin spice syrup.
Acting quickly is essential since the pumpkin spice cold brew concentrate is only available from August through October. The product, however, is shelf-stable and comes in a 32-ounce bottle, allowing the creation of pumpkin cold foam throughout the holiday season with proper planning. The syrup can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks; alternatively, pumpkin purée and personal spice blends can be used for the foam.
Starbucks Expands Cold Foam Options with Year-Round Flavors and Seasonal Autumn Favorites
Starbucks also offers a variety of cold brew coffee concentrates year-round, including dark chocolate hazelnut, caramel dolce, Madagascar vanilla, and brown sugar cinnamon, providing additional options for cold foam creations. Several flavors are also available in single-serve pods for convenience.
Pumpkin cold foam can be added to any favorite drink for those visiting Starbucks during the autumn months. As colder weather sets in and winter coats emerge, Starbucks continues to offer seasonal cold foam flavors such as peppermint chocolate cream, sugar cookies, chestnut praline, and caramel brulée.
