Malia Obama is considered as an instant celebrity because of her parents. Her father, Barack Obama, was the 44th president of the United States while her mom was the First Lady who is loved by many.
While her parents have a really clean and upright image, it was different for the 21-year-old college student because she has been involved in a series of unsavory rumors. But the thing is - some of them have been proven since there are photos to prove the allegations.
Malia’s first controversy
In 2017, various tabloids, newspapers, and magazines reported about Malia Obama’s smoking habit. This shocked many people and created a buzz across the world because they did not imagine the daughter of Michelle and Barack Obama would be a smoker.
Radar Online reported that it is not just about twerking that is so revolting about the former First Daughter, but she was also caught smoking pot, and this can’t be refuted because there are videos and pictures to prove it. Malia was at a concert and can be seen smoking and people are guessing she could have gotten an earful from her parents who are known to be very conservative people.
People said that they were disappointed in her “out-of-control” behavior. They also asked what her parents could have done wrong to have a child acting like this.
College admission rumors
Malia Obama is currently enrolled at Harvard University, and some people are saying that she got accepted in the same way that Lori Loughlin’s children got in the university of their choice which means Michelle and Barack Obama probably paid or had somebody fixed the enrollment for them, as per the Globe.
This controversy got bigger after it was learned that Malia’s coach in tennis, was charged with bribery just a month before her admission scandal surfaced. But then, the Obama’s insisted that they are not in any way connected to the coach’s scandal.
Malia’s engagement
Finally, it was reported last month that Malia Obama is already engaged since last year. She and her supposed fiance Rory Farquharson are said to be planning a grand wedding, but the problem is - Barack Obama is not in favor of the guy because he is British, but Gossip Cop debunked this claim.
