COVINGTON, Ohio, Aug. 22, 2017 -- Marias Technology, a provider of software testing, project management, integrations, implementation, hosting services, and more to the insurance industry, promoted two of its people to management positions. Stephanie L. Olson was promoted to Manager, Testing and Implementation Services. Denise D. Tobias was promoted to Office Operations Manager.
“We’re happy to promote Stephanie and Denise for at least two reasons,” said R. Christopher Haines, President and CEO of Marias. “First, they’ve demonstrated the ability to take on increasing levels of responsibility and to become even more valuable contributors to the organization. Second, we’re experiencing increasing demand for our services, which gives us opportunities to add to staff and to recognize and reward our outstanding performers. Stephanie and Denise definitely are outstanding performers. We’re very proud of both of them.”
Olson joined Marias in June of 2010 after having worked as an independent insurance agent for seven years. At Marias, she manages the group responsible for testing and implementing new lines of business (LOBs), rate changes, and upgrades into customers’ systems – as well as performing overall regression testing of their existing business. Olson’s group also tests customers’ software, breaking down defects, pinpointing their causes, writing specifications, and taking on LOB-related special projects.
Tobias joined Marias in June of 2014 after serving a medical-services franchise for 23 years, working her way up to Director of Billing Services. In that role, she supervised the team that processed billing to nursing facilities, private-pay customers, and third-party administrators. At Marias, she’s responsible for accounting, human resources, and payroll. She also helps Marias customers with billing and other questions about their contracts.
