GREENFIELD, Mass., April 24, 2018 -- Patriot Care announced today that it will open Franklin County’s first medical marijuana dispensary to qualifying patients on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. ET. The facility will be located at 7 Legion Ave, Greenfield, MA, in the former American Legion Hall. This will be Patriot Care’s third location serving the patients of Massachusetts, following the Lowell and Boston dispensaries, which both opened in 2016. Patriot Care is a subsidiary of Columbia Care LLC, the nation’s leading medical marijuana company, licensed to operate in 10 other highly regulated states, plus Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico.
“It is a privilege to be the first dispensary permitted to open in Franklin County,” said Nicholas Vita, chief executive officer of Columbia Care. “Expanding access to this natural medicine will allow us to further our mission and help to improve the lives of thousands of new patients and their families. We are grateful and humbled by the support we have received from patients, our neighbors, the Town of Greenfield and the State of Massachusetts. Our organization is proud to provide access to all patients of Massachusetts, and we look forward to being a valuable member of Franklin County.”
Consistent with the Company’s vision and mission, Massachusetts dispensaries are designed with patient access, comfort and safety in mind. As with all Patriot Care facilities, the Greenfield dispensary will be staffed by a dedicated team trained to provide the highest level of professionalism, compassion, confidentiality, security and respect for patients and their conditions.
To access state-licensed facilities, patients must be deemed eligible by a certified physician and be registered with the State through the Department of Public Health. Registered patients may visit the dispensary 7 days a week from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Patients are encouraged to visit Patriot Care online at www.patriotcare.org.
