McDonald’s Japan is adding an extra-tempting version to the croquette burger lineup, dubbed the Fuwatoro Tamago Noko Demi Gurakoro.
Gurakoro is a mashup of the Japanese pronunciations of “gratin” and “croquette,” since this burger has a croquette filled with the mixture of macaroni and white sauce that Japan calls gratin.
Fuwatoro Tamago means “fluffy egg,” one of the key additions that set this sandwich from McDonald’s regular gratin croquette burger.
There’s also shrimp inside the croquette.
McDonald’s is also bringing back the regular Gurakoro/Gratin Croquette burger, which sticks to the basics of croquette and cabbage. It is less expensive at 370 yen, 50 yen cheaper than the Fuwatoro Tamago Noko Demi Gurakoro.
Both go on sale on November 30.
