Suzu Hirose and Yamapi Promote McDonald's Japan's New Watermelon Frappe in Vibrant Campaign
In a recent report by SoraNews24, McDonald’s is proud to present its new McCafé range in Japan, a unique offering that features the country's most beloved celebrities — actress and model Suzu Hirose and actor and singer Tomohisa Yamashita, commonly known as “Yamapi.” Their charm and popularity bring an extra layer of excitement to the new offerings, which are now available at all McDonald's outlets in Japan.
In the new McDonald’s commercial, Hirose, dressed in red to match her beverage choice, introduces the all-new Watermelon Frappe. With whipped cream, kiwi, and banana sauce topping a smoothie base made with watermelon juice, this frappe is refreshingly sweet and visually appealing, reminiscent of biting into a watermelon. It's also healthier, with only [calories] per serving.
Yamapi Introduces McDonald's Japan's Revamped Golden Pineapple Frappe and New Banana Macaron
Yamapi, meanwhile, promotes two golden-hued menu items that will tantalize your taste buds. The Golden Pineapple Frappe, previously released to rave reviews, has been renewed with an even juicier and more refreshing recipe. It features whipped cream and golden pineapple sauce atop a golden pineapple juice smoothie base. The new Banana Macaron offers a mildly sweet banana cream for a delicious fruity flavor.
At an unbeatable price of 490 yen (US$3.19) each for the frappes and just 190 yen for the macaron, these new offerings are a delightful treat that won't strain your wallet. The commercial whisks viewers away to a tropical paradise, with Hirose and Yamapi appearing in anime form as they savor the new offerings.
This marks the third collaboration between Hirose and Yamapi for a McDonald’s commercial, following their previous appearance in an ad for the Mint Chocolate Oreo Frappe. While some branches continue to offer the minty drink until the end of the month, the new fruity frappes and macaron will be available from July 31 until mid-September.
