Gaza’s Health Ministry reported 1,599 Palestinians killed and 5,774 wounded in Israeli actions it classifies as ceasefire violations, as medical personnel described Thursday’s fatal drone attack on a displacement shelter.
Medical personnel at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital told Anadolu Agency the strike killed one Palestinian and wounded another at a tent used by displaced people. They said the tent was west of Al-Zawayda in central Gaza and that the drone fired two missiles at it.
Local sources identified the dead man as Abd Walid Matar, Anadolu reported. The agency said the ceasefire took effect Oct. 10, 2025.
Anadolu also reported an earlier fatal drone attack in southern Gaza, citing medical and local sources. Its Oct. 23 account placed the strike at al-Qubba Street in al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis, and said a bicycle was targeted; others were hurt. EconoTimes previously covered that southern Gaza drone strike.
