Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be parents soon as they are set to welcome their first child next year. While the child is a definitely a royal baby born to the Duchess and Duke of Sussex, it was reported that the couple does not want him or her to grow up spoiled. They are planning to raise their kids in the normal “commoner” way.
As per Us Weekly, Omid Scobie, a royal contributor, revealed that the former “Suits” star wants her kids to be raised knowing the values of normal things in life. Also, the Duchess want the children to live a life that is different from their cousins - Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis since they are being brought up in the traditional royal way.
“Meghan will take her kids on a subway,” Scobie told the publication. “They’ll have chores and jobs one day. They won’t be spoiled.”
In another report, it was said that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will not be raising their kids in London but they will settle in the country instead. The couple is currently renting a home in Cotswolds and the two are spending most of their weekends there. In the future, they would like to live there with their offspring as well.
"They plan to spend a considerable amount of time in their Cotswold home and Meghan's mom, Doria Ragland, will have a prominent role in their family as the children’s grandmother," another source told Entertainment Tonight.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s planned parenting style is obviously based on how the former was brought up. It is no secret that the actress strived hard and worked her way up to be recognized as an actress.
This means to say that because she did not grow up in a well-off family, she exerted more effort to get to where she is right now. She became independent and a very strong woman in the process, and this is probably why Meghan Markle wants her kids to have a normal upbringing – so they will learn the same values and become humble royals.
