Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are “dreading” the release of a tell-all book giving Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, a voice, a royal insider suggested. Gary Goldsmith, Carole Middleton's brother, is planning to offer the family "a voice" in the face of accusations from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Reportedly ‘Dreading’ for the Release of Gary Goldsmith's Memoir
The book would reportedly divulge "private family details" and "set the record straight" nearly a year after Prince Harry's explosive memoir “Spare” was released. “When Harry was originally compiling his book, his publisher was confident William wouldn’t comment, because it wouldn’t be fitting for a future King to do so,” an informant told Daily Express.
“Harry wouldn’t have anticipated such a comeback from Kate’s family. He and Meghan won’t like it one bit and will be dreading the book’s release,” the same source furthered. To recall, Prince Harry previously claimed Prince William had leaked things about him to the media and that he had yelled at him when he informed him of his and Meghan Markle's plan to step down as senior royals.
Many people read Prince Harry's comments about certain men in his family marrying "someone who would fit the mould as opposed to somebody who you are perhaps destined to be with" as a dig at Prince William and Kate Middleton's relationship.
The insider told OK! Magazine, per the Mirror, that the publisher of Prince Harry's memoir was convinced that Prince William would not respond to any of his brother’s charges since it would be inappropriate for a "future King" to do so. They claim the California-based royal "wouldn't have expected such a comeback from Kate's family," and that the couple is now "dreading the book's release."
Kate Middleton’s Uncle to Reportedly Answer Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s Allegations
Meanwhile, Gary Goldsmith first spoke of his plans to write a memoir in 2013 after amassing a £30 million fortune through his IT recruitment business. Though he previously stated that he would not become involved in anything concerning his niece or her husband, the source claims that his recent statements critical of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have "gone down well with some people" and have caused him to reevaluate his attitude.
"He did originally plan to focus the book on himself and his journey to becoming a millionaire," an unnamed source told New Magazine, "but he will now add in some private family details." It is also reported that Gary's book will be reviewed by Kate Middleton and Carole before it is sent to the publisher and that he is still "very close" to them.
