“Mob Psycho 100 Season 2” will be returning on Jan. 7, 2019 and fans can’t wait what’s next for Shigeo and Reigen. So far, the mentor-apprentice arc is still being followed by the series although that is only on the surface.
The real journey is the unfolding narrative revolving around Shigeo, the socially awkward but extremely powerful psychic that seems to have an endless supply of raw potential. This shouldn’t come as a surprise since the artist behind the show is also responsible for the creation of “One Punch Man” as well. Called ONE, this creator has a penchant for exploring the stories of overpowered protagonists and Shigeo is as overpowered as they come. “Mob Psycho 100 Season 2” will surely showcase this facet as it continues to follow the path of Shigeo and his desire to completely master his emotions.
After all, his emotions play a heavy role in how he can control his psychic abilities. If his emotions reach a 100 percent threshold, Shigeo becomes an entity that can literally obliterate an opponent without so much as moving a muscle. So far, 13 of his emotions managed to climb to this height including sadness, anger, compassion, ecstasy, and hostility. Fans are hoping that more of his outbursts will occur in “Mob Psycho 100 Season 2” since it’s such a treat to watch Shigeo go all out on a certain opponent.
Another interesting factor to Shigeo’s psychic capabilities is the ??? state. During such conditions, Shigeo completely loses all control and is acting on pure instincts and self-preservation. Powerful though this state of mind is, Shigeo actually despises being put into such situations as he generally doesn’t like the idea of accidentally hurting other people. In most ways, Shigeo is similarly written like Saitama, with an emphasis on the personal journey rather than a story focusing on breaking one’s limits. “Mob Psycho 100 Season 2” will surely attract a lot of viewers again as audiences are eager what it would look like if Shigeo attains full control of the above-mentioned state.
