Theories and plot predictions
While “Money Heist” season 5 has no official preview yet, there are many theories and plot predictions. Fans have been sharing their ideas and thoughts on the possibilities of where the story is heading.
Aside from these, the production staff and cast members also drop hints from time to time through social media so by now; fans have already gained many spoilers. Although nothing is really confirmed yet, below are some of the popular theories about key characters in the “Money Heist” season 5.
Rio will die in the finale
There are theories that something bad will happen to Rio in the upcoming finale of “Money Heist.” Since the cliffhangers in the season 4 finale left the viewers to think that there could be a point went some of the gang members will turn against each other, Rio may die in their final battle.
As shared on Express, a fan wrote on Reddit that the cast may have hinted Rio will not make it out alive in the bank. The reason for this assumption is the fact that only Miguel Herrán (Rio) and Rodrigo de la Serna (Palermo), who did not post the “Money Heist” season 5 mask on their respective Instagram.
The Redditor deduced that this can be a hint that he did not make it until the end which means Rio died while they were trying to escape from the bank. “I don’t know if this means anything but the only present cast that didn't post the season five mask on their Instagram was Rio and Palermo. Is this a hint?” he posted on the forum.
Berlin survived and will return
Berlin had a rare degenerative disease and his doctors say he only had seven months to live. Then in season 2, he sacrificed himself so that the gang can escape from the National Mint through a tunnel. At that time, he was shot by the police and believed to have died.
However, there is a theory that Berlin is alive and may return in the “Money Heist” season 5. To back up this idea, it was pointed out that he was wearing a bulletproof vest when he was shot so it is possible that he survived.
It was suggested that he may surprise everyone when he returns in the finale. Also, there are speculations that he could be Alicia Sierra’s ex-husband which makes the theory that he is still alive even more convincing. She could have nursed him back to health and his survival was kept a secret.
