“Mortal Kombat 11” will be introducing the iconic T-800 to its roster on Oct. 8 complete with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s look. There are two news skins for the legendary android as well, which will be the young version and the damaged version.
The latter is arguably the cooler between the two as it shows some of the metallic endoskeleton of the terminator. “Mortal Kombat 11” developers also gave the T-800 that iconic slow, deliberate movement that is reminiscent of the character seen in the films.
But perhaps the most exciting element for the Terminator is that people will be able to play him with his endoskeleton in full view. “Mortal Kombat 11” lead character artist Brendan George explained on the PlayStation blog that you can activate this mechanic “if you have the right move equipped and you are at low health in the final round.”
Mortal Kombat 11 to introduce new moves to all characters
While the arrival of the Terminator is sure to shake the meta, it’s only expected to provide some minor disruption. What the player base is really waiting for is the upcoming massive update that will provide different variations for all “Mortal Kombat 11” characters.
The developers have already spoken about and showed off some of the new moves that characters will have, with Shang Tsung, Frost, Johnny Cage, Jax, Sub-Zero, and Liu Kang the ones featured in the demo. Of the six, Frost arguably has the most intriguing new variations as she was given an enhanced overdrive move that can be strategically used to force opponents to engage rather than play defensively. Unfortunately, it’s still unknown when this new “Mortal Kombat 11” update will arrive as the developers are still keeping everything under wraps.
Mortal Kombat 11 to add Sindel next
With regards as to who’s arriving next, it’s already been revealed that Sindel will be added on Nov. 26. Following that, Joker and Spawn will be introduced on January 28 and March 17, respectively. Some players have been complaining why NetherRealm Studios is releasing Spawn nearly a year after the game’s release, but others are simply happy that he will be joining the “Mortal Kombat 11” roster. What’s more, he’ll be voiced by none other than the legendary Keith David himself, the very same actor who breathed life to the character in HBO’s animated series back in the 1990s, Screen Rant reported.
