One of the worst things about the “Dragon Ball” franchise is the main character’s propensity to supposedly overcome any obstacle by simply powering up. This disease might have become infectious in “My Hero Academia” Chapter 229 but in a rather weird way. Members of the League of Villains are basically expected to get huge power boosts after facing serious challenges.
“My Hero Academia” Chapter 229 can go via multiple directions, many of which consist of the league members facing off against what they fear most. In the cast of Twice, it is his clone, and with regards to Dabi, it could potentially be his family. Some secrets could be revealed in the chapter, OtakuKart notes.
Focusing on Twice, for a moment, he will likely be trying to run away from his own clones in “My Hero Academia” Chapter 229. He might have to fight them to the death again, and this could trigger assimilation in him. No longer will he be split and this could help consolidate his powers.
The same could happen with Dabi in “My Hero Academia” Chapter 229. If not, it could occur in the chapter after that, but the main point is that it would be happening to all of the league members. Shigaraki is already showing off his true power, and the same goes for Toga. There are a few more members to go, so this might be a long arc.
Still, if the previous chapters are of any indication, “My Hero Academia,” Chapter 229 is going to be another wild ride that will satisfy many readers. It might take a while for Deku and his friends to make an appearance again, but this is an important character development for the league members.
This will then make them deeper figures instead of just generic manga villains. Readers will see this for themselves when “My Hero Academia” Chapter 229 comes out on May 24.
