Zion Williamson and Jayson Tatum are some of the big winners in the latest update on “NBA 2K20” overall players ratings. Meanwhile, the real games have been suspended for an indefinite period following confirmed cases of COVID-19, aka coronavirus, within the league.
‘NBA 2K20’: Younger players receive significant OVR boost in a recent update
“NBA 2K20” players receive an update this month in the form of changes in the overall ratings of featured players. Williamson, the 2019 no. 1 draft pick, is one of the players who got additional points likely based on how he has been performing since joining the regular season.
Williamson received an additional 2 points in the update bringing up his OVR to 86 in “NBA 2K20.” It can be recalled that Williamson suffered a torn meniscus during the preseason and missed out on the first three months of the regular season. Since he came back, the 19-year-old forward is averaging 23.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.

Tatum, 22, was the third overall pick in 2017 and has now received the same additional points as Williamson making his “NBA 2K20” OVR two-point short of reaching the 90-point mark. He also scores an average of 23.6 points per game but a tad better than Williamson in other aspects such as averaging 7.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists.
Sophomore Collin Sexton received the same plus points in the “NBA 2K20” update while Kristaps Porzingis is at the same OVR as Williamson after getting an additional point. Some players who have been in the league longer did not join the winners' list in the latest “NBA 2K20” OVR update. Jimmy Butler, DeMar DeRozan, Devin Booker, Kyle Lowry, LaMarcus Aldridge, and Fred VanVleet have got the point deduction each.
NBA season 2019-20 is suspended until further notice due to COVID-19 pandemic
“NBA 2K20” may be the only way fans around the world are getting some basketball action for some time as the NBA officials decided Wednesday to suspend games until further notice. In an announcement on the NBA network, it was confirmed that a player of the Utah Jazz has tested positive for COVID-19. The World Health Organization has since elevated the COVID-19 spread’s qualification to a pandemic after the virus has infected over 118,000 people in 114 countries.
The league’s announcement did not name the player, but other reports identified it to be Rudy Gobert. The test result for the Jazz player was confirmed just before the tip-off of the supposed game between Utah and the Oklahoma City Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Arena. Meanwhile, NBA assured fans in its statement, “The affected player was not in the arena.”
