“NCIS” season 16 episode 7 is looking to be another installment with a surprising twist. But what’s more certain is it will focus on another field agent, Eleanor Bishop (Emily Wickersham).
Fans might have noticed that the latest episodes of “NCIS” were written to focus on particular characters. Guest roles were introduced in the earlier season 16 installments and eventually led to the discovery of something about the past of a series regular character. “NCIS” season 16 episode 7 is going to continue that pattern.
The official summary for “NCIS” season 16 episode 7 reveals that the next case is about a stolen piece of a mural created by someone described as a “street artist and activist.” The teaser mentions that Bishop has a “special connection” with the upcoming guest character. Whether they personally know each other or just share a common experience is still unknown.
Prior to “NCIS” season 16 episode 7, there were several instances when the show tackled Bishop’s life outside the Navy Yard. When she learned about her ex-husband’s infidelity, the viewers saw her spend Thanksgiving with her mom and brother in Oklahoma. Of course, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) was there to witness her mini-breakdown too.
In season 14, all three of Bishop's brothers surprised her in D.C., which led to the revelation that Qasim (Rafi Silver) is her new boyfriend. So it is interesting to see what part of Bishop’s past will be uncovered with the arrival of this mystery street artist in “NCIS” season 16 episode 7.
It is unclear yet why NCIS will be called in first to investigate the art robbery. However, their jurisdiction over the case will be justified later in “NCIS” season 16 episode 7. The “NCIS” synopsis also hints that the investigation into the stolen art will lead to an uncovering of a “conspiracy.” It possibly involves a Navy contractor’s deals that jeopardize the “safety of ocean mammals.”

There will be a week of hiatus before “NCIS” season 16 episode 7 goes on the air in consideration of the 2018 midterm elections in the United States, according to CarterMatt. So the Bishop-focused episode will be available on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
