NG Energy International Corp. said Oct. 16 that Aruchara-6 has started producing at Colombia’s Maria Conchita block, with the company expecting the new well to lift gross output there to 23.0 MMcf/d.

NG Energy’s test report put average tubing-head pressure at 780 pounds per square inch and noted a 30/64 choke setting. The company recorded a peak rate of 8.7 MMcf/d gross, equivalent to 6.96 MMcf/d net, as gas passed through the block’s central processing facility. It also said surface readings and wireline logs indicated gas in zones H2 through H6. The well reached 9,352 feet and encountered its H1 target.

With Aruchara-6 producing, NG Energy forecasts Maria Conchita output of 23.0 MMcf/d gross and 18.4 MMcf/d net, compared with 16.0 MMcf/d gross and 12.8 MMcf/d net beforehand. The company also projects combined net production of about 29.1 MMcf/d from Maria Conchita and Sinú-9.

For Maria Conchita, NG Energy said contracted offtake covers up to 15.0 MMcf/d gross. The company reported that gas sold in Colombia beyond contracted amounts averaged about US$14–US$16 per thousand cubic feet, with some prices above US$20.

NG Energy put the block’s installed processing capacity at 30 MMcf/d. It said infrastructure partner GTX International Corp. was working on heat-exchange and cooling improvements. The company expected an additional compressor and upgrades to the dehydration facilities by the end of October 2026.

At Sinú-9, operator Maurel & Prom Colombia Sociedad Limitada began drilling Encantado-1X on Oct. 6, NG Energy said. The company described the well’s objectives as assessing the reservoir’s southern extent and testing a higher-pressure area. It also reported that the first pipeline loop from the Jobo connection point had entered service, increasing gross transportation capacity from 30.0 MMcf/d to 40.0–45.0 MMcf/d. The consortium expects to drill at least one more well at Sinú-9 in 2026, according to NG Energy.
