Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported Israeli troops searching near Habbariyeh and shelling on its outskirts Thursday, two days after Lebanese and Israeli military delegations met in Florida.

The NNA said about 20 Israeli soldiers and four Merkava tanks reached Nabaa al-Khokh in the Hasbaya district. It reported that soldiers searched the area and fired automatic weapons, and that six artillery rounds hit Habbariyeh’s outskirts in Arqoub.

The agency also reported heavy shelling in Mansouri and Buyut al-Sayyad, artillery fire elsewhere in southern Lebanon and one airstrike on Kfar Tibnit.

On Oct. 19, the NNA reported Israeli strikes and shelling in southern Lebanon before the Florida meeting, in its account of attacks ahead of the talks. The delegations met to review a U.S.-backed framework signed June 26, which calls for Israel’s gradual withdrawal as the Lebanese army deploys and Hezbollah disarms.
