NPR reported its latest poll with PBS and Marist found 58% of voters thought data center construction by technology companies would negatively affect the country, adding a measure of public opinion to the run-up to the U.S. midterms.

The same poll put President Donald Trump’s job approval at 39% among Americans, down from 44% at the start of his second term, NPR said.

NPR also cited AAA’s price tracker, which put regular gasoline at $4.30 a gallon on Oct. 19. Nearly eight months earlier, the average was $2.98.

Voters are scheduled to cast ballots Nov. 3, with control of the House and Senate at stake.
