BOSTON, March 1, 2016 -- In conjunction with Patient Safety Awareness Week (March 13-19), the National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF) will host a complimentary webinar – titled "Patient Safety Is a Public Health Issue." This educational event will bring together top leaders to discuss what is being done to ensure safety of patients from a national perspective. The webcast will take place on Thursday, March 17, from 1-2 pm (EST).
Featured speakers will include the following:
- Jeff Brady, MD, MPH, Director of the Center for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality
- Patrick Conway, MD, Deputy Administrator for Innovation & Quality and Chief Medical Officer at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
- Tejal K. Gandhi, MD, MPH, CPPS, President and CEO of the National Patient Safety Foundation
- Arjun Srinivasan, MD (CAPT, USPHS), Associate Director for Healthcare Associated Infection Prevention Programs in the Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
