LOS ANGELES, April 23, 2018 -- Nativo, the leading unified advertising technology platform for native advertising, today announced the appointments of Oded Cohen to Chief Technical Officer, Woo Kim to Chief Financial Officer, and Chris LoRusso to Senior VP of Publisher Solutions. Each has been instrumental in building Nativo as the 200-person authority in branded content and digital advertising that it is today—with offices in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and London. All three are newly created roles within Nativo.
“Contributions from Oded, Woo, and Chris have been invaluable to the growth of Nativo,” said Nativo CEO Justin Choi. “These moves recognize the maturity of Nativo as an organization and support the expansion of our mission beyond empowering advertisers to engage their audiences with branded content at scale to actually reimagining how the open web works.”
Since newly appointed CTO Oded Cohen joined Nativo in 2013, the company has grown in size tenfold with the engineering group leading the way as the largest group in the organization. Oded built out Nativo’s fully distributed and scalable technology stack, including multiple first-to-market technologies and patents. Before Nativo, Cohen served as VP of engineering at Digital Generation, Inc. (which became Sizmek).
Woo Kim will serve in the new CFO title. He joined Nativo in 2015 as SVP of Finance. When he started, Kim helped build out the firm’s finance, HR, and IT departments. The company’s headcount has nearly tripled during his tenure at Nativo. Prior to Nativo, he served as CFO at Kikin, a New York-based contextual search firm and was one of the first employees at Vonage. As CFO at Nativo, Kim will now oversee financial planning, budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting.
Senior Vice President of Publisher Solutions Chris LoRusso joined Nativo in 2013 and steadily advanced from Director of Client Services to Director of Publisher Solutions to VP of Publisher Solutions. LoRusso built a team that has provided best-in-class publisher support with an emphasis on customer success. Before Nativo, he held various roles at true[X], a Los Angeles-based on-demand advertising firm. In his executive role at Nativo, he will focus on providing a global roster of premium publishers with scalable solutions.
“Nativo is changing the nature of the game when it comes to leveraging branded content to create meaningful engagement with consumers,” said Nativo CTO Oded Cohen. “We are building on our core technology to more directly address real-world business outcomes of brands and rethinking how all content is served across the open web.”
These appointments follow a strong growth period for Nativo, which just released its SONAR: Spend on Native Advertising Report and recently expanded into 25,000 square feet of new office space in Los Angeles.
