‘New Girl’ season 6’s episode 11, titled “Raisin’s Back,” will follow Cece (Hannah Simone) and Winston (Lamorne Morris) as they challenge Schmidt’s (Max Greenfield) musical taste, specifically his love for electronic dance music.
The brief synopsis for “Raisin’s Back” posted on TV Guide reads, “Nick (Jake Johnson) tries to low-key it when Reagan (Megan Fox) moves into the loft; and Schmidt gets static about his passion for electronic-dance music from Cece and Winston.”
It seems that Cece and Winston will take their friendship on the next level as they challenge Schmidt’s musical choices together. The two characters have been getting along great in the preceding episodes and were paired more exclusively in episode 9, titled "Es Good," according to Screener TV.
In the episode, Cece and Winston obsessed over Jess’ (Zooey Deschanel) promising love affair with Robby (Nelson Franklin). The two attempted to convince their friends to date each other exclusively, despite Jess still having apparent feelings for ex-boyfriend Nick.
Episode 10, titled “Christmas Eve Eve,” also played out Cece and Winston’s friendship beautifully. Winston picked Cece (Hannah Simone) for the loft’s Secret Santa and already bought a gift. However, Schmidt accidentally refused his wife’s gift when it was delivered to their apartment under a different name.
This prompted Winston to go Christmas shopping with Schmidt for a replacement gift. Schmidt expressed his dislike at Winston’s bean bag chair gift but when Winston decided to give Cece the gift anyway, she loved it immediately much to Schmidt’s surprise.
It would be interesting how Winston and Cece’s dynamic friendship will affect Schmidt in the incoming episode, especially that they would team up against him.
‘New Girl’ Season 6’s episode 11, titled “Raisin’s Back,” is scheduled to air on Fox on January 3, 2017. It was directed by Dana Fox and written by Eliot Glazer. It will be followed by episode 12, titled “Cubicle,” scheduled for January 10.
