‘New Girl’ season 6’s episode 18, titled “Young Adult," will follow principal Jess as she recruits Nick to help her impress her students at school. She will bring in Nick to do a book-reading of his own novel, “The Pepperwood Chronicles,” that failed to sell on his first book-reading. Meanwhile, Schmidt will hire an assistant that resembles him.
The synopsis for episode 18 posted on TV Guide reads, “Jess (Zooey Deschanel) is concerned that she may not be a cool principal, so she recruits Nick (Jake Johnson) and "The Pepperwood Chronicles" to give her a popularity bump among the students.
Meanwhile, Schmidt (Max Greenfield) hires a real go-getter as an assistant and Winston (Lamorne Morris) wonders if Furguson is two-timing him.”
It seems that Jess will have to bring in Nick to help her gain popularity among her students. Jess almost backed out of her intimidating and nerve-wracking first day as school principal and it seems that she is determined to take control in the upcoming episode.
According to Christian Post, Jess will invite Nick to do a book-reading at her school with novels that failed to sell during his first book-reading event. However, a sneak peak for “Young Adult” showed Nick getting in trouble with the teens presumably because they were too critical of “The Pepperwood Chronicles” and he detests rejection. Nick refused to send his book to any publisher since he feared that they would shut it down.
Meanwhile, Schmidt is set to hire an aggressive and go-getter assistant, who may not be as different from him at all. It will be interesting to see how these two characters work together. Winston will also be dealing with problems of his own when he suspects that his cat may be two-timing him.
‘New Girl’ season 6’s episode 18, titled “Young Adult," is scheduled to be released on Fox on February 28, 2017. It will be followed by episode 19, titled "Socalyalcon VI,” scheduled to air on March 14.
