‘New Girl’ season 6’s episode 6, entitled “James Wonder”, will find Jess attempting to impress a Parents’ Council president to land the principal position at her school. Meanwhile, Megan Fox’s Reagan may be returning to the series very soon.
The synopsis for episode 6 posted on Heavy stated, “Jess’ efforts to land the soon-to-be-open principal’s job require her to impress the difficult president of the Parents’ Council. Meanwhile, Winston’s undercover skills are tested; and Nick can’t seem to find the perfect wedding gift for Schmidt and Cece.”
It seems that Jess (Zooey Deschanel) is determined to land the principal’s position by convincing the president of the Parents’ Council that she is a perfect candidate. However, this may prove to be quite a challenge for the bubbly titular character as the president is described “difficult” to deal with.
Winston (Lamorne Morris) will also embark on an undercover mission of his own although this remains to be known. Meanwhile, Nick (Jake Johnson) struggles to find newlywed friends Cece (Hannah Simone) and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) a wedding present.
Judging by the series’ synopsis, it doesn’t seem like Megan Fox’s Reagan will be reappearing in the series any time soon as the principal characters juggle their busy lives. According to Bustle, Fox’s return to the sitcom was announced last year. It was revealed that the ‘Transformers’ actress has signed on for a huge arc on season 6 but is remains unclear when her character would return.
The 30-year old actress and model was first introduced as Reagan in ‘New Girl’ to fill the void left by main actress Deschanel, who went on a maternity leave. Reagan is a pharmaceutical sales representative who moved in the L.A. loft and had a brief romance with Nick.
According to Romper, season 6’s episode 5 "Jaipur Aviv" featured Cece and Schmidt’s impending departure from the loft after buying a house. This led Nick to suggest that they should invite Reagan back to fill roommate responsibilities.
Ever the supportive friend, Jess spent the entire episode trying to convince the rest of the roommates to vote for Reagan’s return. Cece, who knew how Jess still felt about Nick, continued to vote “no” despite everyone else’s “yes” since she wanted to protect Jess from heartache. Despite the not-so-unanimous vote, Winston is seen sending Reagan a text from Nick’s phone asking her to move in again at the end of the episode.
‘New Girl’ season 6’s episode 6, entitled “James Wonder”, is scheduled to premiere on Fox on November 1, 2016. The series was created by Elizabeth Meriwether and follows an offbeat teacher after she moves into an L.A. loft with male roommates.
