Newly Funded XRP Ledger Addresses Hit 7,962 in Daily Tracker Record

The Nov. 1 count was the largest in a series that began Sept. 26, but it does not identify how many people are behind the addresses.

A tracker counted 7,962 newly funded XRP Ledger addresses on Nov. 1, its highest daily reading in records dating to Sept. 26; the tally does not count people.

A funded address is not a verified user. One person may control several addresses, and exchanges may process many customers’ activity through shared accounts. The tally cannot show how many people opened wallets or began using the network. EconoTimes has previously explained why XRP Ledger activity data cannot identify returning users.

On the XRP Ledger, a payment can establish an account by sending funds to an eligible address; the network has no separate transaction for account creation. The count describes an on-ledger event and cannot verify who controls each address.

No company, application or launch is identified as the reason for the higher reading. A single day’s count cannot show whether the activity continued.
