Nexans repurchased 10,556 shares over three sessions on Euronext Paris, with the disclosure classifying the trades under an EU rule for share-plan obligations and leaving the specific awards unnamed.
Nexans said in its Oct. 19 transaction statement that Natixis executed the trades on the company’s behalf. The purchases covered three sessions, Oct. 12 through Oct. 14.
The company bought 3,000 shares on Oct. 12 at a weighted average of €132.0176 per share, then 3,000 on Oct. 13 at €131.6110. On Oct. 14, it bought 4,556 shares at a weighted average of €130.9545 per share.
Nexans recorded the acquisitions under Article 5(2)(c) of the EU Market Abuse Regulation. The provision applies when companies repurchase shares to meet commitments tied to options or other equity awards for employees or members of governing bodies. The notice named no particular plan or beneficiaries.
Nexans’ buyback program description, published April 2, sets a maximum purchase price of €160 per share, a total spending limit of €400 million and a ceiling equal to 10% of share capital. The company said the October purchases followed the program’s terms. Shareholders approved the proposed resolutions, including the buyback authorization, at a May 21 meeting. Nexans said using existing shares for compensation awards can limit dilution.
The company’s shareholder materials say it bought 56,105 shares in 2025 at a weighted average of €124.15 per share for free-share and performance-share plan obligations. Those purchases cost €6.96 million.
Nexans is scheduled to publish third-quarter 2026 financial information Thursday, Oct. 22, at 1 a.m. EDT (05:00 UTC), followed by an investor webcast at 3 a.m. EDT (07:00 UTC).
