DIJON, France, July 6, 2016 -- Novolyze, a biotechnology company specializing in food safety, broadens its management team and hires Jena Roberts. Novolyze is recognized by the food industry for its innovation capabilities based on a disruptive approach: the development of ready-to-use and qualified surrogate microorganisms to help food companies perform safe in-plant preventive control process validations.
This announcement respects the growth strategy of the firm, which aims at accelerating the development of its activities. Based in California, Jena Roberts has the mission to develop Novolyze's market by commercializing all the startup's offers.
To do so, Jena Roberts will rely on strong professional experience acquired within leading organisms such as The National Food Lab, Silliker and Dairy & Food Labs where in her last role she occupied the position of Vice President of Business Development. She is also a member of the Institute of Food Technologist (IFT) and of the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP).
These positions enabled her to evolve strategically within the food industry and consequently to thoroughly understand the industrial fabric as well as the challenges to continually manufacture safe quality foods.
Jena Roberts graduated from the University of Alaska with a BS in Biology.
Nicolas Braun, co-founder of Novolyze, "We are proud to welcome Jena within our team. She will be a great help in commercializing our solutions on a large scale, as well as boosting our growth."
Jena Roberts, Vice President of Business Development, "Novolyze is a promising company which has succeeded in conceiving highly efficient nonpathogenic surrogate microorganisms. These latter mimic the behavior of pathogenic microorganisms and can be introduced in food factories to eliminate pathogens responsible for the most serious foodborne outbreaks. This characteristic will permit us to establish ourselves as a strategic partner for food companies, laboratories, equipment manufacturers as well as all players involved in the food safety industry. I am really excited to be part of such an innovative and professional food safety team and look forward to developing rewarding food safety partnerships."
