Nuvoco Vistas Corporation Limited reported a 77.85% year-over-year increase in consolidated Q2 FY27 profit to ₹64.79 crore, alongside higher revenue and cement sales volume in results approved Oct. 22.
In its filing with the BSE, the company put consolidated profit after tax at ₹64.79 crore for July 1-Sept. 30, 2026, compared with ₹36.43 crore in Q2 FY26. Revenue from operations reached ₹2,789.97 crore, up from ₹2,457.57 crore in the year-earlier period. The unaudited standalone and consolidated results are subject to a limited review.
Cement sales volume rose 9% to 4.7 million tonnes. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased 11% to ₹411 crore, Nuvoco said.
Managing Director Jayakumar Krishnaswamy said changes in the company’s product and regional sales mix helped support realizations while cement prices remained subdued. Nuvoco also cited uneven rainfall in key markets, logistics and supply-chain interruptions, and higher input costs linked to geopolitical uncertainty as challenges during the quarter.
The Economic Times reported Oct. 23 that Nuvoco expected cement demand to strengthen after the monsoon, with state government capital spending providing support. The outlet also reported that 77% of planned state outlays remained for deployment in the fiscal year’s second half. Nuvoco’s results filing and company release did not include that demand outlook or outlay figure.
During the quarter, Nuvoco commissioned a grinding unit at Limla, Surat, with annual capacity of 2 million tonnes. The company said its expansion plan puts it on track for cement capacity of 35 million tonnes a year by FY28. When Nuvoco began cement operations in 2014, its Nimbol operation had annual capacity of 2.3 million tonnes, the company said.
