Oct. 22 serves as both the fund's ex-dividend date and record date. YieldMax pegged the rate at 28.11% using the fund's Oct. 20 close. The annualized figure measures a single payout against net asset value (NAV) and does not show total return.
For the 30 days ended Sept. 30, OARK posted a 2.87% SEC yield. That calculation excludes option income. The fund uses call spreads tied to the ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK) to pursue income.
YieldMax says weekly distributions can change, and possible components include return of capital, ordinary dividends and capital gains. The firm warns that returned capital may lower OARK's NAV and market price. Payment is scheduled for Oct. 23.
